Sept 26 - From September 26 through November 4, Christians throughout the Rio Grande Valley will be joining with hundreds of other cities for this fall’s global 40 Days for Life, the largest coordinated pro-life mobilization in history. 40 Days for Life features three components:(1) Prayer and Fasting: believers throughout the RGV are invited to join together for 40 days of fervent prayer and fasting for an end to abortion.(2) Peaceful Vigil: stand for life during a 40-day peaceful public witness outside the abortion clinics in McAllen (Whole Women’s Health located at 802 S. Main Street) and Harlingen (Reproductive Services located at 613 W. Sesame Drive).(3) Community Outreach: help take a positive, upbeat pro-life message to every corner of the RGV through media efforts, advocacy, and public visibility.

Oct 7 - Join us for the formation of a Life Chain from 2–3 pm at Holy Spirit Catholic Church located at 2200 Martin Street (corner of Martin and 23rd Street) in McAllen, TX.
Oct 21 - McAllen, TX: Come celebrate the McAllen Pregnancy Center’s First Family Reunion being held from 1–4pm at the Palmer Pavillion. $7 per ½ chicken plate; $15 sponsorship tickets for MPC moms. Weslaco, TX: Join us for the formation of a Life Chain from 2–3pm at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church located at 901 N. Texas Blvd in Weslaco (corner of Texas Blvd and Pike).
Harlingen, TX: St. Anthony Catholic Church will host a “Celebrate Life Dinner” from 5–6:30 pm. Speakers include Bishop Daniel Flores and Dr. Felix Rivera who will speak on the HHS mandate. Oct 28 - Join us for the formation of a Life Chain in Harlingen, TX from 2:30– 3:30pm along Ed Carey Drive (by the Whataburger and in front of the abortion clinic, Reproductive Services).
Dec 2 - The next Respect Life Apostolate meeting will be held at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church located at 4 St. Eugene de Mazenod Avenue in Roma, TX. The meeting will begin with a Holy Hour at 3:00 pm led by Fr. Jim Erving. All are welcomed!
April 6 - Advocacy Day in Austin – members of the Respect Life Apostolate will be traveling to Austin, TX to participate in this event. Stay tuned for more information and how to participate!
ONGOING ACTIVITIES Every second Saturday of the month St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church has mass at 7:30am followed by a prayerful procession to the McAllen abortion clinic where parishioners gather to pray for expectant mothers and fathers, children in the womb, clinic workers and an end to abortion. Pregnancy Counseling: Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley offers FREE professional confidential counseling, access to the Baby Boutique, free pregnancy tests and referral services.
