14th Annual Catholic Charities of the RGV Gala

Catholic Charities of the RGV is proud to present the 2024 Hands of Hope Gala. 

This year's recipients of the Hope Award are Jim and Kathy Collins, who have been extremely supportive of Catholic Charities of the RGV’s mission. The award honors the leadership and legacy of an extraordinary couple who have made it their personal goal to spread awareness of the need to help people seek a better life and live with dignity. 

The Humanitarian Respite Center first opened its doors on June 9, 2004. Since then it has provided humanitarian assistance to over 300,000 asylum seekers. People from all over the world have come down to visit and have left in awe of the compassion our community has shown to the most vulnerable.

All proceeds of the gala will be used to continue the mission of the Humanitarian Respite Center.
