The journey to God, explained by the Saints

The two-semester course will offer an overview of the three main parts of the book: The Fulfillment of all Desire; which correlates with the three stages in the spiritual life; referred to as the purgative, illuminative, and unitive stages (or ways). Drawing upon the teaching of seven acknowledged spiritual doctors of the church, presents an in-depth study of the journey to God, based on the wisdom of the Saints.

The second semester will offer a basic overview of Christian spiritual direction (spiritual companioning), a process whereby a person having deepened their prayer life accompanies another as they seek to deepen and clarify their own walk with God, tapping into the heart, mind and soul of the seeker while learning to integrate their faith recognizing God’s presence in their daily life.

• Orientation August 2023
• Fall 2023 (September to December)
• Spring 2024 (January to April)

Monthly modules include:

• Theological reflection
• Spiritual readings from the different schools of Catholic spirituality
• Lectio Divina
• Liturgy of the Hours
• Spiritual and practical exercises
